We accept enrollment on a first-come, first-served basis with the following consideration to be used as guidelines by the Director:

1. Siblings of our present school population have priority.

2. Children of former families (including children of alumni) currently living in the Reed School District have priority.

3. Children currently living in the Reed Union School District have priority.

Placement in a program will be determined by age and upon the mutual agreement of parent and Director. Belvedere-Hawthorne Nursery Schools welcome children of any race, color and national or ethnic origin.

Because parents become members of the Belveder-Hawthorne Nursery Schools' non-profit corporation, attendance at a school orientation is required.

Each of the Belvedere-Hawthorne programs has an age requirment.

TIME FOR TWOS:

Children who attend the fall program must be two years six months old by the following January 31st. Children who attend the spring program must be two years six months old by the following September.

TUESDAY/THURSDAY MORNINGS:

Children must be at least two years six months old. The program starts in September or January depending on the child's age.

MONDAY/WEDNESDAY/FRIDAY MORNINGS:

Children must be three on or before July 31st to be eligible for this program.

WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON ENRICHMENT:

This program is available only to Monday/Wednesday/Friday children who turn four after July 31st, but before December 1st. Children who are eligilbe for this program will have the choice of attending either Hawthorne or kindergarten the following fall.

HAWTHORNE:

Children must be four on or before July 31st to be eligible for this five-day-a-week pre-kindergarten program. Note that the age requirement for this program does not correspond with the California Sate cut-off date for kindergarten.
